"Dirt" a.k.a. Dirt Pudding

List of Ingredients




1/4 cup margarine
8 oz. cream cheese
1 cup powdered sugar
3 1/2 cups milk
2 (6 oz.) pkgs. French vanilla pudding
12 oz. Cool Whip

1 (20-ounce) package "Oreo" type chocolate sandwich cookies


Recipe



Cream together the margarine, cream cheese and powdered sugar; set aside. Beat milk and pudding 2 minutes with mixer. Fold in Cool whip. Combine with cream cheese mixture.

Crush 20 cookies in blender or food processor, a few at a time until the consistency of dirt; set aside.

Place 1/4 of cookie mixture in a serving dish or pot, (Gourmet Gal says she bought a brand new plastic pot that looks like clay, along with a new plastic trowel which she uses ONLY for serving this dessert ) then 1/3 of pudding mixture. Keep layering this until you end with "dirt" on top. Refrigerate.

If desired, put a few silk flowers in the center of the pot, add some gummy worms "crawling" out of the "dirt"!
