Here from warm New Mexico getting ready to put in my spring garden of
herbs. The above recipe got us through 4 years of college, due to the
fact that most of the ingredients are usually on hand and it is
inexpensive. It does not contain eggs, but is a delicious tasty cake
and really does not need a frosting.



List of Ingredients




Sift in one bowl:
1 1/2 cup flour
1 cup sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
3 Tablespoons cocoa

Add the following and beat well:
1/3 cup cooking oil
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. cider vinegar
1 cup cold water

Recipe



Pour into greased 9 inch square pan. Bake for 35 minutes at 350
degrees. It can also be made into 1 dozen cupcakes, but bake for only
20 minutes
