    Recipe Introduction


    My source for this recipe attributes it to a large hotel in Malaysia
    where Muslim dietary rules prohibit eating pork. Although I'm a
    little skeptical because I don't ever recall seeing turkey on the menu
    in Malaysia, this recipe is a good low-fat alternative to the standard
    breakfast sausage.

    List of Ingredients




    1 lb (450 g) ground turkey
    1/2 tsp (2 ml) dried thyme
    1/2 tsp (2 ml) dried oregano
    1/4 tsp (1 ml) cayenne pepper or to taste (optional)
    Soy sauce and freshly ground pepper to taste

    Recipe



    Combine all the ingredients and mix thoroughly. Form into 8 to 12
    patties and fry in a lightly greased skillet over moderate heat until
    done, about 4 minutes per side. Serves 4 to 6.
