1. Heat oven to 350º. Grease muffin cups or line with paper liners.
2. In a small bowl, combine flour, oats, baking powder, cinnamon and salt.
3. In a large bowl, cream together butter, sugar and egg. Add milk and maple syrup and combine well. Stir in flour mixture just until combined. Stir in pecans.
4. Spoon batter into prepared muffin cups. Bake for 20 minutes or until muffins test done. Yield: one dozen.
