Recipe Introduction
Hi Chef and all!
I am Simone, faithful reader of this ezine since many, many moons ago.
Now, finally, my first submission. I am from Luneburg, North Germany
but live in Southern Spain since 12 years and work in the little
British Crown Colony of Gibraltar. I try keeping a little cat but my
hubby and I are both allergic, so most of the time I have to make do
with feeding it in her territory a couple of streets down.
This dish my granny used to make for me. She used to be a cook on a
big manor in what is today Poland. No, this is not a typical dish of
the region, but certainly inspired by the 2 WWars she lived through,
as food was scarce and nothing got to waste.
List of Ingredients
2 handful of leftover (boiled) spaghetti
2 tbs butter
1- 2 eggs (optional)
parmesan
tomato ketchup
dried roasted onion
Recipe
Melt the butter in a frying pan and add the spaghetti. Fry on
low/medium heat until golden brown. Fry the eggs in the meantime in
another pan. Add ketchup to the spaghetti and remove from heat. Put
the spaghetti on a plate, sprinkle with parmesan and dried fried onion
and top it with the fried egg.
Serves ?, just multiply as needed. Cooks note: when frying the
spaghetti, they react similar to veggies. They loose volume the
longer you fry them.
