Searching through a ton of recipes and came across this one that was posted
by deee on December 15, 1999. Thought it sounded a little different - well I
made it last night and it is AWESOME! Hope you enjoy:
List of Ingredients
3 cups loose-pack, frozen hash-brown potatoes, thawed
1/3 cup butter, melted
1 cup hot pepper cheese, shredded (I used swiss - with a dash of cayenne
pepper)
1 cup diced cooked ham (I purchased thick ham slices from deli)
1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
1/2 cup light cream
2 eggs
1/4 tsp. seasoned
salt
Recipe
Press hash browns between paper towels to remove moisture. Press onto bottom
and up sides of a 9" pie plat to form a crust.
Drizzle melted butter over all the crust. Bake in a 425* oven for 25
minutes. Removed from oven. Reduce oven temp to 350*
Toss together ham and cheeses and place in crust. Beat the cream with the
eggs and seasoned salt. Pour over ham and cheese.
Bake uncovered in the 350* oven for 25 - 30 minutes or till a knife inserted
near the center comes out clean. Let stand for 10 minutes before serving.
