Baked Rice with Sausage

Here’s one that was posted on the old TSR general message board by Nancy In IN
on Tuesday, 22 February 2000, at 3:19 p.m. She attributed it to the Feb/Mar 2000 Taste of Home magazine.
I’ve tried tinkering with it, but the original is still the best.
List of Ingredients
1 lb. bulk Italian sausage
2 celery ribs, chopped
1/2 large onion, chopped
2-1/4 cups water
1 pkg dry Lipton Hearty Noodle soup mix
1/2 can condensed cream of chicken soup
1/2 cup uncooked long grain rice Recipe
Brown sausage with celery & onion. Drain. Meanwhile, bring
water to a boil; add dry soup mix & simmer for 5 minutes.
Stir in canned soup, rice & sausage mixture. Transfer to
8 X 8 baking dish. Cover & bake at 350* for 40 - 55 minutes.
Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
Yield: 6 - 7 servings
