I don't know if SPINACH FANDANGO is "heirloom" or not, but I got this rec'p from mother years and years ago & it's really terrific! She made this quite often. I
don't know the origin of the rec'p or how old it is, but it's been around
our family for a very very long time!
SPINACH FANDANGO ~ From mom's kitchen
List of Ingredients
Makes 6 servings
2 pounds ground beef
1 tablespoon dry onion
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 pound mushrooms cleaned & cut
1 10 3/4-ounce can cream of celery soup
2 packages frozen chopped spinach
1/2 cup raw minute rice cooked
1/2 pound monterey jack cheese grated
1 cup sour cream Recipe
Brown ground beef, onion, garlic powder & mushrooms. Top with frozen spinach
& cook over low heat until spinach thaws & falls apart.
Remove from heat.
Fold in soup, sour cream & rice. Place in 9x13 greased casserole ~ Cover
with cheese & bake at 350° for 45 mins.
