Green Beans and Garlic Saute (T&T)

Recipe Introduction
A colorful and flavorful accompaniment to a meal featuring fresh summer vegetables!
List of Ingredients
2 1/2 cups water
1 1/2 pounds fresh whole green beans, with ends trimmed
2 tablespoons olive oil or butter
2 teaspoons minced garlic
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper Recipe
In a saucepan, bring the water to a boil; add the green beans, then cover and cook until beans are crisp-tender.
Meanwhile, in a skillet, combine the oil and garlic. Over medium-high heat, saute the garlic until lightly browned.
When beans are crisp-tender, drain thoroughly and add to the browned garlic in the skillet, stirring to coat. Add salt and pepper to taste.
Makes 8 servings.
