    Recipe Introduction


    This was entered in the Binghamton Spiedie Fest cooking contest by Aimee Jurista and appeared in the Binghamton Press newspaper Aug.7,2002.

    List of Ingredients




    4 large portobello mushrooms
    2 T ketchup
    1/4 cup canola oil
    2 T each: soy sauce and Worcestershire sauce
    1/2 t each: garlic powder and onion powder
    1 T mixed dried Italian herbs (oregano,basil,thyme,and marjoram)
    1 t mixed fresh herbs(thyme and rosemary)
    1/4 cup chanpagne or wine vinegar

    Recipe



    Clean mushrooms and cut into 2 inch chuncks. Combine remaining ingredients in separate bowl. Marinate mushrooms about 1 hour. Skewer and grill on medium heat until lightly browned on all sides. Serve on crusty french peasant bread. Serves two to four.
