    Recipe Introduction


    This is a recipe my sis used to make. It's an oldie, but a goodie!

    List of Ingredients




    3 dozen lady fingers
    6 packages German sweet chocolate
    9 eggs, separated
    10 1/2 Tabl. water
    3 heaping Tbsp. powdered sugar
    1/2 t vanilla
    pinch salt

    Recipe



    In a double boiler: steam chocolate, sugar and water.
    Add egg yolks one at a time, stirring constantly. Steam 5 minutes to thicken.
    Allow to cool a little at a time.
    Add vanilla
    Beat egg whites with a pinch of salt until stiff.
    Fold chocolate into egg white mixture.


    Line medium size buttered spring form pan with halved lady fingers.
    Pour half of the chocolate mixture into springform pan over ladyfingers.
    Add layer of lady fingers. Pour remaining chocolate over.
    Garnish with whipped cream.
