    A "Dummy Proof" pie crust


    List of Ingredients


    • 4 C sifted flour
    • 1 T sugar
    • 1 t salt
    • 1 3/4 C Crisco (butter flavor sticks)
    • 1 T vinegar
    • 1 egg, large
    • 1/2 C water
    • *Makes 4 single pie crusts


    Instructions


    1. Mix together flour, sugar and salt.
    2. Cut in shortening until crumbly.
    3. Beat together: vinegar, egg and water
    4. Add to flour mixture and mix until well blended
    5. Divide into 4 portions
    6. Shape into flat round cakes, ready for rolling.
    7. Wrap and chill for at least 1/2 hour. Roll into desired thickness.

    8. *Freeze for future use if you wish.
