    STEWED HOLIDAY FRUIT
    Plan ahead….needs to refrigerate overnight.

    WW Points
    Serves: 4

    12 dried apricots
    12 dried prunes
    1-1/2 c. apple cider...OR...unsweetened apple juice
    2 cinnamon sticks (3-in.)
    8 whole cloves
    2 whole allspice
    1/4 c. orange marmalade
    2 tsp. lemon juice
    1 tsp. stick margarine
    2 medium firm bananas, sliced
    2 T. sliced almonds, toasted

    In a small saucepan, combine the first 6 ingredients. Bring to a boil. Remove from heat; refrigerate overnight. Strain cider, reserving liquid; set apricots and prunes aside. Discard spices.

    In a small saucepan. Combine the marmalade, lemon juice, margarine and reserved cider. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. Cool.

    Divide apricots, prunes and bananas among individual serving dishes; drizzle with cooled sauce. Sprinkle with almonds.

    One 3/4-cup fruit with 1/4 c. sauce serving equals: 259 calories…3 gm fat (0 saturated)…0 mg cholesterol…26 mg sodium…61 carbohydrate…5 gm fiber…2 gm protein ++++ WWP: 4
