    Makes about 1 dozen.

    - 2 cups flour
    - 1 tbsp baking powder
    - 1 tbsp sugar
    - 1/2 tsp salt
    - 1/8 tsp garlic powder
    - 1/4 cup cold stick margarine
    - 3/4 cup milk
    - 1-1/4 cups shredded cheddar cheese


    Preheat oven to 450 degrees F. Grease baking sheets or line with parchment paper.

    Sift together flour, baking powder, sugar, salt, and garlic powder. Cut in margarine with a pastry blender or fork. Stir in milk, mixing just until dough comes together. Stir in cheese.

    Drop by rounded tablespoons baking sheets. Bake 10 to 12 minutes.

    Per biscuit: 171 cal, 8 g fat, 15 mg cholesterol, 18 g carbohydrates, 1 g fiber, 6 g protein, 299 mg sodium.
