    Yield: about 6-1/2 dozen ( 26 servings).

    2/3 cup butter or margarine -- softened
    1 cup sugar
    1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
    1 egg -- slightly beaten
    1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    2 cups all-purpose flour
    2 teaspoons baking powder
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1/4 cup milk

    Cream butter; gradually add sugar and cinnamon, beating until light and fluffy. Add egg and vanilla; beat well. Combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Add to creamed mixture alternately with milk, beginning and ending
    with flour mixture; mix well after each addition.

    Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheets. Flatten with a fork; bake at 375 degrees F. for 8 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool on wire racks.
