    Apple Cranberry Crisp

    7 medium apples, cored and sliced
    1 c. fresh or frozen cranberries, chopped or left whole
    2 T. lemon juice
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    1/4 c. whole-wheat flour
    1/2 c. rolled oats
    2 T. canola oil
    2 T. fructose
    1 tsp. vanilla

    Spray a 8-inch square baking dish with nonstick cooking spray. Layer apples and cranberries in dish. Combine the next 3 ingredients in a small bowl; pour over apples and cranberries. Combine remaining ingredients; stir until mixture looks like granola. Sprinkle over apple mixture. Bake at 325-F, uncovered, for 20 minutes. Broil top of crisp for 2 minutes or until top is slightly browned.

    One 1/2-cup serving equals: 161 calories (40 from fat)…4 gm fat () saturated)…0 cholesterol…31 gm carbohydrate…5 gm fiber…2 gm protein…1 mg sodium ++++ Exchanges: 1 starch…1 fruit…1 fat ++++ WWP: 3.5
