    Makes 4 servings

    Nonstick vegetable oil cooking spray
    4 medium apples, cored and chopped
    Juice of 1 small lemon
    3/4 cup brown sugar
    1/8 teaspoon salt
    2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
    1/2 teaspoon ground allspice
    1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
    1 cup uncooked oatmeal, old-fashioned or quick (but not instant)

    Spray bottom and sides of 9-inch round glass pie plate with vegetable oil. In a bowl, toss apple pieces and lemon juice; place in bottom of pie plate.

    In a 2-cup bowl, mix remaining ingredients; spread evenly over apple pieces.

    Microwave on high 12 minutes, rotating one-quarter turn every 3 minutes. Cover with foil and let stand at least 20 minutes. Serve warm with nonfat frozen vanilla ice cream or yogurt, if desired.
