    Beef Roast and Gravy

    Recipe Introduction

This is a great meal, just like your grandmother use to make to make! As you can see, this serves 10-12 firefighters. But you can very easily cut this in half for your family.

    List of Ingredients

    • 1 Family size can Cream of Mushroom soup
    • 2 large Chuck roast, about 6-7 pounds
    • 2 packages Onion soup mix
    • A-1® Steak Sauce
    • 1 can water
    • 1 pound sliced mushrooms
    • 14 medium potatos -- halved
    • 7 carrots -- cut in equal pieces
    • 3 medium onions -- quartered

    Instructions

    1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Sear roasts in a little oil in a frying pan. Put 1 tablespoon of A-1 sauce on each side of the roast and rub over the meat. In mixing bowl, mix soup mix, mushroom soup, and water until well blended. Add sliced mushrooms. Place roasts in a roasting pan and pour soup mix over roast. Cover. Place in oven about 1 1/2 hours. Add potatos, onion and carrots. Return to oven and cook 1 hour additional or until tender. Add add'l water if necessary.

    2. Serves 10-12. Serve with green veggie and rolls.
