    Firehouse Stew

    A great meal if you're going to be busy in the afternoon. Put it together, toss it in the oven and forget it.


    List of Ingredients


    • 5 pounds Stew meat -- Trimmed and cubed
    • 1 large Potato per person -- Quartered
    • 6 large Carrots -- Chunked
    • 1 large White Onion -- Chunked
    • 3 Celery ribs -- Cut in 2" pieces
    • 2 Green peppers -- Chunked
    • 3 Small cans Tomato soup
    • 4 cans Water
    • 1 large can Diced tomatos
    • Salt and Pepper -- to taste


    Instructions


    1. Place all ingredients in large Dutch oven and mix well. Cover and bake @ 275 degrees for 5 hours.
      Note: May increase oven to 300 degrees and bake for 4 hours.
    2. Serves 12. Serve with Bisquits and Salad
