Firehouse Stew
A great meal if you're going to be busy in the afternoon. Put it together, toss it in the oven and forget it.
List of Ingredients
- 5 pounds Stew meat -- Trimmed and cubed
- 1 large Potato per person -- Quartered
- 6 large Carrots -- Chunked
- 1 large White Onion -- Chunked
- 3 Celery ribs -- Cut in 2" pieces
- 2 Green peppers -- Chunked
- 3 Small cans Tomato soup
- 4 cans Water
- 1 large can Diced tomatos
- Salt and Pepper -- to taste
Instructions
- Place all ingredients in large Dutch oven and mix well. Cover and bake @ 275 degrees for 5 hours.
Note: May increase oven to 300 degrees and bake for 4 hours.
- Serves 12. Serve with Bisquits and Salad
