Spiced Pecans
Recipe Introduction
These are great just to snack on.
List of Ingredients
- 2 qts. water
- 2 qts. sugar
- 1 qts. pecans
- Cayenne Pepper
Instructions
- Male a simple syrup with the water and sugar. Simmer and reduced until it is golden and reduced about half.
- Toast the pecans and set aside to cool.
- Add 1 tbl. of cayenne pepper to the syrup.
- Add the pecans and simmer 15-20 minutes.
- Strain the pecans from the syrup and deep fry the pecans for 20 seconds to 1 minute.
- Toss with a little cayenne pepper, lay flat in a single layer to cool.
