    Spiced Pecans

    These are great just to snack on.


    List of Ingredients


    • 2 qts. water
    • 2 qts. sugar
    • 1 qts. pecans
    • Cayenne Pepper


    Instructions


    1. Male a simple syrup with the water and sugar. Simmer and reduced until it is golden and reduced about half.
    2. Toast the pecans and set aside to cool.
    3. Add 1 tbl. of cayenne pepper to the syrup.

    4. Add the pecans and simmer 15-20 minutes.
    5. Strain the pecans from the syrup and deep fry the pecans for 20 seconds to 1 minute.
    6. Toss with a little cayenne pepper, lay flat in a single layer to cool.
