    Recipe Introduction

Erik really loves these but then again so does everyone else. Plan ahead though because it needs to sit over night.

    List of Ingredients

    • 1/2 cup butter
    • 1 cup brown sugar
    • 1 T cinnamon
    • 8 - 12 slices of bread
    • 6 eggs
    • 1 1/2 cups milk
    • pinch of salt
    • Maple syrup

    Instructions

    1. TO MAKE TOAST: Melt butter in a 9 x 13 inch pan. In a small bowl, mix brown sugar and cinnamon. Add to melted butter.
    2. Cover with 2 layers of bread slices. In a medium bowl, whisk eggs, milk and salt until smooth (I use my food processor).
    3. Pour over bread. Cover. Refrigerate overnight
    4. TO BAKE TOAST: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Bake, uncovered, for 30 minutes. Cut into squares. Turn upside down on plated.
    5. Serve with butter and syrup.
