    Practically No-Cal Mushroom Pate

    List of Ingredients





    1 TBS. sweet margarine or butter
    1/2 lb. mushrooms, finely chopped in food processor
    1 medium onion, finely chopped in food processor (almost to a paste)
    1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
    1 tsp. lemon juice
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    2 TBS mayonnaise
    few drops of Tabasco sauce, to taste

    Sauté mushrooms and onions together in melted butter until slightly softened. Stir in all other
    ingredients except mayonnaise and cook on low heat until all the juices are evaporated, about
    15 minutes. Cool. Add mayonnaise and chill. Serve with crackers. This will keep in
    refrigerator for at least a week.
