Brownie Mint Melt-Aways

List of Ingredients
1 pkg. (21.5 oz) fudge brownie mix
2 cups powdered sugar
4 tbs. margarine or butter, softened
1 tbs. milk
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 tsp. peppermint extract
Several drops green food coloring (optional)
3 squares (1 oz each) unsweetened baking chocolate
2 tbs. margarine or butter
Recipe
Prepare brownie mix in a 9"x13" pan as directed on the package. Cool.
To make frosting, mix powdered sugar, softened margarine or butter, vanilla and peppermint extracts, and food coloring, if using. Stir in milk a little at a time till frosting is of spreading consistency; add additional milk, a few drops at a time, if necessary. Spread over brownies; refrigerate till frosting is cold.
For topping, melt chocolate together with remaining margarine or butter. Drizzle evenly over cold frosting; spread evenly to cover frosting completely with a very thin layer of chocolate. Refrigerate again till chocolate sets.
Another idea ~ My favorite thing to mix in besides pecans or walnuts is well-drained chopped maraschino cherries. I love chocolate and cherry flavors together. For a dressier look, mix a little almond extract into a simple powdered sugar glaze and drizzle it over the top.
