I like to swirl in about 1\4 cup of raspberry jam, on top of the brownies, before baking. Sometimes I sprinkle on slivered almonds on top too

I often add peanut butter chips or white chocolate chip/chunks, or fudge chips/chunks.
I save a few of the chips/chunks and melt in the microwave and "drizzle" over my brownies

Also try putting a can of cherry pie filling in the bottom of your pan and then pour your brownie mixture over the top. When ready to serve top with vanilla ice cream or a good homemade whipped cream (taste like black forest cake).

I recently saw a cooking show where Rachel Ray sprinkled in Espresso powder in her brownie mix. She said you could also put in regular coffee grounds in to flavor them. Interesting idea. I think I'm going to try it.
