    2 sticks of butter softened to room temperature
    2 cups of granulated sugar
    2 tsps. Vanilla
    4 eggs
    8 ounces melted semisweet chocolate (or I like to use Hershey's Special Dark Chocolate)
    1-cup flour

    Filling
    2 cups ricotta cheese (whole milk)
    ¼ cup granulated sugar
    2 tsps. Vanilla
    1-cup miniature semi-sweet chocolate chips

    Preheat oven to 325 degreesPan size - 13 x 9 - well greased. Beat together the 2 sticks of butter, the 2 cups of sugar and the 2 tsps. of vanilla; add the 4 eggs and mix well. Stir in the 8 ounces of melted chocolate, then the 1-cup of flour. Pour half of the batter into the prepared 13 x 9 pan. In a separate bowl combine the 2 cups of ricotta, the other 2 tsps. vanilla and sugar. Mix well. Add the 1-cup of miniature chocolate chips; spread over the batter in the pan, then top with the remaining batter. Bake in the preheated 325-degree oven for 45 minutes. Remove from oven and cool completely. Place in refrigerator until cold. Then cut into squares and serve. Refrigerate any leftovers.
