    Fruit: Apple Bourbon Cake

    List of Ingredients

    4 cups chopped, peeled NY state apples
    1 cup bourbon
    2 cups sugar
    ½ cup vegetable oil
    2 eggs
    2 cups flour
    2 teaspoons baking soda
    2 teaspoons cinnamon
    1 teaspoon salt
    1 teaspoon nutmeg
    ¼ teaspoon ground cloves
    1 cup walnuts

    Recipe

    Place apples in bowl and cover with bourbon. Cover tightly and let sit. Tilt upside down to keep coated.

    Beat sugar, oil, eggs together with wire whisk. Add dry ingredients. Mix til well blended. Add nuts and apples and bourbon. Stir til mixed. Turn into a greased 9x13” pan. Bake at 350 for 45 minutes to 1 hour, or til done. Serve warm or cold with bourbon-flavored whipping cream or cream cheese.
