1/2 cup Karo¨Light or Dark syrup
1/2 cup butter or margarine
5 squares (1 ounce each) Baker's¨ Semi-Sweet Baking Chocolate
3/4 cup sugar
3 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla1 cup flour
1 cup chopped nuts
Chocolate Glaze (optional), See Frostings
Recipe
Grease and flour one 9" cake pan and preheat oven to 350¡ F. In a large saucepan over medium heat bring corn syrup and butter to boil, stirring occasionally; remove from heat. Add chocolate; stir until melted. Add sugar; stir in eggs, one at a time, then vanilla, flour and nuts. Pour into prepared pan. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes or until tests done. Cool in pan 10 minutes. Remove from pan and cool completely.
