Recipe Introduction


Makes 13x9x2 or you can cut recipe in 1/2 for 9x9". Bake 350 degrees for 30 to 45 min. usual cake tests. spray well or line bottom with parchment paper as will stick. I just serve from pan. Make the frosting ahead.



List of Ingredients




2 cup sugar
3 cup flour
2 teaspoon soda
4 tablespoon cocoa-heaping
2 cup boiling water
2 cup mayonnaise
2 teaspoon vanilla
2 cup chopped dates
2 cup walnuts (or any sort of nuts)

Frosting:
1 Large tub of Cool Whip
1 cup brown sugar

Preheat oven350* Prepare baking dish or pan grease and flour or spray with Pam and line bottom with parchment paper or wax paper and spray paper. Just use a large spoon Mix dry ingredients in large bowl, pour boiling water over and mix carefully! add mayonnaise and vanilla. last stir in nuts and dates. Bake small one 30 minutes or 45 minutes for large, cool and spread with cool whip frosting.

Frosting:
stir in well and refrigerate until sugar is dissolved, couple hours at least.
