1 pound butter
2 cups sugar
1 pound Hershey's chocolate candy bars -- broken up
3/4 cup almonds -- chopped or sliced
Recipe
Using a large heavy cast iron skillet heat butter and sugar. Set heat to 1 setting above medium heat. Using a Wooden spoon, stir continuously to a hard crack stage (15 to 16 minutes) Pour onto ungreased cookie sheet and spread out with wooden spoon. Sprinkle broken pieces of Hershey's bar onto mixture immediately. Spread melted chocolate with wooden spoon if necessary. Sprinkle with chopped nuts. Let cool completely then break into pieces.

NOTES : Pay 100% attention to stirring and watching. If cooked 1 minute too long it will burn. Use a cookie sheet with side on it like a jelly roll pan. and set it on a board or hot pad to cool. Can refrigerate for 15 minutes and then break up. This will really give you a burn blister if you get the hot syrup on your skin.
