Gooey Butter Bars

Base:
1 18 oz yellow cake mix
1 lg. egg
1/2 cup melted butter or margarine
mix by hand and press into a 9x13 pan, going a little up the sides..
Filling:
8oz softened cream cheese
2 eggs
1 box powdered sugar[1 lb]
Mix and pour on top of crust. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes. When almost cool, sift some more powdered sugar on top. Cool before cutting into squares . You can substitute a chocolate cake mix for some yummy bars. Sometimes I sprinkle the top of the filling with coarsely chopped pecans before baking..
