List of Ingredients




4 cups molasses
¾ cup butter
¾ cup shortening
2¾ cup brown sugar

6 teaspoons baking soda
4 tablespoon boiling water

16 cups flour
2 tablespoons cinnamon
2 tablespoons cloves
2 tablespoons ginger
2 tablespoons mace


Recipe



Cream together molasses, butter, shortening, brown sugar.

Dissolve baking soda in water. Add to cream mixture.

Sift together flour, cinnamon, cloves, ginger,mace and add to cream mixture. Chill overnight. Roll dough thin and use cookie cutters. Bake until done at 275-300 degrees.
