Greek: Octopus in Tomato Sauce w/ Spagheti

1 kg frozen octopus
1 large onion finely chopped
2 medium ripe tomatoes mushed
1/2 cup white wine
1/2 cinnamon stick
1/2 tbs sugar
1/2 cup olive oil
1 pack of spagheti or penne or any kind of pasta you like
Recipe
Defrost the octopus. In a pot put the octopus and cook it in very low heat. Leave it to cook in its own juices without adding any water. When it is tender remove from the heat and let it cool slightly. Dont throw the juice that has come out. In the same pot pour the oil and when heated add the onion and cook until golden. Add the octopus cut into bite size pieces and cook for a litlle longer. Pour in the wine and when most of the liquid has gone add the tomatoes, sugar,cinnamon and pepper. Let it cook until the sauce has slightly thicken. Cook the pasta, drain it and mix with the octopus sauce. Let it stand in order for the flavours to blend. It can be served at room temperature.
