Apple: Glazed Fresh Apple Cookies

List of Ingredients

1 1/3 C brown sugar
1/2 C shortening
1 egg
2 C flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp cloves
1/4 C apple juice
1 C chopped nuts
1 C raisins
1 1/2 C chopped unpeeled apple
1 1/2 C powdered sugar
2 T milk
1 T butter
1/4 tsp vanilla
dash salt



Recipe

Cream brown sugar and shortening. Beat in egg until fluffy. Combine dry ingredients. Beat on low until combined. Beat in juice. Stir in apples, nuts and raisins. Drop on greased sheet in slightly rounded tablespoons. Bake at 400 for 7-8 minutes. Combine remaining ingredients until smooth. Spread on warm cookies.
