    Fall Sausage Sauté..

    original recipe Alicia Ross adapted.. in a 12" nonstick skillet with a lid, heat 1 tsp oil on medium. Slice sausages in 4 equal portions...use about 1 lb total..

    prick each piece several times with a fork, turn frequently, brown for 5 or 6 minutes..

    meanwhile in a small bowl ,mix 1/4 cup butter and 1/4 cup grainy mustard [ country Dijon or spicy brown]...microwave on high for 1 minute stir and set aside..

    add 1 cup water or apple juice to skillet with browned sausages..
    spread on top 1 package shredded coleslaw mixture or 1 lb shredded green cabbage. cover the skillet and cook on medium until cabbage is crisp tender...stir well..

    on each plate , piece of sausage and cabbage, drizzle on mustard sauce...serves
