This recipe comes from my husband's lifelong friend who is now a chef. I'd like to thank him for the recipes that he shares.
He sent me this one with the following:
I have a recipe I got from one of our cooks at The Harris Grille here in Charlotte, NC. This is a great idea for proteins on the grill. It will help keep them moist and juicey for serving. You can adjust these any way you wish to fit your paticular theme, such as asian or german and so on.
List of Ingredients
1# unsalted butter
4 Tbsp. A-1
4 Tbsp. Heinz 57
4 Tbsp. heinz ketchup( or catsup if you prefer )
4 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
4 Tbsp. tabasco or Texas Pete
Recipe
Melt butter on medium low heat.
Blend in the rest until well mixed and brush on your meats with a pastry brush while on the grill.
Note:
You may , also, let this mix solidify enough to roll in wax paper and use it as a compound butter for chicken or steak.
