is based on an old English receipt St. Louis City Art Museum ,Forest Park

List of Ingredients

3 eggs
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 Tab corn meal
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp vinegar
5 Tab milk
1/2 cup melted butter
pinch of salt
1 unbaked pastry shell




Recipe

Mix sugar, cornmeal and eggs add vanilla, vinegar and milk... stir in butter and pour into pastry shell.. bake at 400 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes until custard is set
