CHERRY PIE:
2 cups fresh Colorado cherries, pitted
1 ½ cups sugar
1 tablespoon flour
1 tablespoon butter
RICH PASTRY PIE CRUST:
2½ cups sifted flour
1 teaspoon salt
¾ cup shortening
¼ cup water
Recipe
CHERRY PIE:
Mix flour and sugar, then stir in with cherries. Pour into pastry shell, dot with butter, and cover with pastry top. Bake slowly for 45 minutes in a 350 degree oven
RICH PASTRY PIE CRUST:
Mix flour and salt. Cut shortening into it until pieces are size of a bean. Mix well with water until dough comes together and can be shaped into a ball. Divide into 2 parts and roll out crusts. Makes two 9-inch pie crusts.
