    Florence Hartmann is the winner in the Journal Newspaper contest this week. She receives a certificate for Pasta House Co....the recipe was given to her by a friend from Texas who "does Southern cooking to perfection"..this would appeal to all ages. Because it can be made assembled and chilled this might be a good choice for holiday meals 2 cans [2 lb 8oz. each] sweet potatoes OR
    4 lbs fresh sweet potatoes, cooked and peeled..

    mash and add
    1 1/2 cups sugar
    2 eggs
    1 1/2 cups whole milk..
    pour into buttered 9x13 baking dish..

    combine 1/2 cup cornflakes
    1 cup brown sugar
    1/2 cup melted butter
    1 cup chopped pecans

    sprinkle evenly over sweet potato mixture..
    bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until browned...
