    Mary’s Mac-n-Cheese

    1) Cook 1 pkg. (16oz) elbow macaroni as directed on package. Cut up 1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter or margarine into small pieces and place in the bottom of 13x9 inch baking dish.


    2) Drain macaroni. Place half of the macaroni over butter in dish; sprinkle with 1 cup cubed Velveeta cheese and Kraft shredded cheddar cheese. Beat 1 egg and 2 1/2 cup 2% milk with wire whisk til well blended. Pour half of egg mixture over ingredients in dish. Repeat layers of macaroni, cheeses, and egg mixture. Sprinkle with paprika.

    3) Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Remove from oven; stir til well blended. Bake an additional 15 minutes or til golden.

    *For a festive look, add layer of 2 cups chopped red and green peppers to casserole before baking.
