    Here's the recipe to use up the rest of that can of sauerkraut from the Grant's Cabin Sauerkraut balls. No one will ever guess...after all it has the magic ingredient...CHOCOLATE!!!.

    8 oz. Sauerkraut...rinse well with cold water, drain. Puree in a blender or food processor...set aside..
    3/4 cup [1 1/2 sticks] butter at room temp.
    2 cups sugar. Cream together...add
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla and beat well...

    Sift together..
    2 1/4 cups flour
    2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 cup cocoa powder
    ...add alternately with 3/4 cup buttermilk, [starting and ending with flour mixture] to butter mixture...
    add sauerkraut and
    1 cup boiling water...

    bake in a greased and floured 9x13 baking pan at 350 degrees for 25 minutes...cool...
    frost with your favorite chocolate frosting
