Pumpkin Mallow Pie

combine in a heavy saucepan
1 cup canned pumpkin
2 [10 oz] bags regular marshmallows
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp salt
stir over very low heat until melted..
chill thoroughly
beat mixture until fluffy
whip 1 cup heavy cream, fold in..
turn into pie shell and chill several hours until set....
Gingersnap cookie crust
3 dozen gingersnap cookies
1/2 cup melted butter
1 Tablespoon powdered sugar
Process in food processor to make fine crumbs...add butter and sugar..
press firmly into an 8 inch pie plate...
bake at 300 degrees for 5 minutes...cool before filling...
