Here is another wonderful recipe I got out of the Globe years ago
List of Ingredients
1/3 c. soy sauce
1/4 tsp. ground ginger
1/4 tsp. curry powder
1/2 lb chicken livers
Bacon slices
1-2 cans water chestnuts-slice each into 3 pieces
Recipe
Combine soy sauce, ginger, and curry powder in a large bowl. Add halved chicken livers (I have even cut some into three pieces) to mixture in the bowl. Allow 1/2 slice of bacon for each piece of liver; add to bowl. Marinate for four hours.
Remove livers and bacon and drain.
To assemble, take a piece of liver, a piece of water chestnut and wrap them with a piece of bacon. Secure with a toothpick. Broil, turning once, until bacon is cooked and crisp. Serve warm.
