    Leona was the featured cook in this week's column “What’s Cooking" in the Post Dispatch, written by Cleora Hughes..

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees
    have ready a deep roasting pan and cover the rack of the oven with foil for easy cleaning..

    16 oz egg noodles, cooked al dente and drained, empty into a large mixing bowl..
    add 8 oz sour cream
    8 oz Ricotta cheese..
    lightly season with black pepper and
    sliced green onion, about 5 or 6..
    set aside

    Brown 2 lbs ground chuck, sprinkled with
    2 Tab seasoned salt, stir and drain fat..

    Stir in 2 or 3 [16 oz cans or jars] of spaghetti sauce with green peppers, garlic, onions..
    simmer about 15 minutes, just enough for the sauce to soak into the beef. Add more sauce if it seems too dry..
    ingredients are layered 3x in thin layers
    have ready 24 0z Cheddar Cheese, shredded...
    and 24 oz. Mozzarella Cheese, shredded..

    Layer in this order:
    Meat sauce
    Noodles
    Cheddar
    Mozzarella
    Repeat 2x

    place pan in center of the oven and bake 30 to 45 minutes until cheese on top browns slightly..
