Several years ago the daughter of Vera Bradley, designer of linens, fabrics, scarves and handbags, was in St. Louis to do a benefit for The Susan Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. She shared this recipe , giving out small sample servings, which was made traditionally by her mother for all the family birthday cakes. It is simple and delicious. What else do you need besides a fork and a tall glass of cold milk..??

1 package Yellow cake mix.

Prepare and bake in a 9"x13" pan. Cool in pan on a rack. In a bowl beat:

8 oz softened cream cheese until light and fluffy.

Add:
1 package instant vanilla pudding
1 cup whole milk

Beat smooth. Fold in a thawed 16 oz. carton of Cool whip and spread on top of cooled cake. Arrange fresh strawberries on top of cake.

Sprinkle with:
2 cups shredded coconut and
1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts.

Chill, covered, for 4 to 6 hours and serve..
