Recipe Introduction


(Add a startling touch to your punch by chilling it with frozen "hands." Simply fill clear or latex gloves with water or any prepared powdered drink mix. If the gloves have a powdery residue inside, turn them inside out and soak in warm water. Add enough liquid to fill gloves, then fasten gloves tightly with twist-ties. Place "hands" on a cookie sheet and freeze. When frozen, carefully use scissors to cut gloves off frozen "hands." Float in a bowl of punch.)

1 (2-quart serving size) envelope cherry-flavor unsweetened powdered drink mix
1 (2-quart serving size) envelope grape-flavor unsweetened powdered drink mix
1 (2-quart serving size) envelope tropic al punch- flavor unsweetened powdered drink mix
2 3/4 cups sugar
12 cups cold water
6 cups cold lemon-lime soda
1 quart rainbow sherbet


Recipe



Place powdered drink mixes and sugar in a large punch bowl. Add water; stir until drink mixes are dissolved. Stir in soda. Serve in punch cups. Top each serving with a small scoop of sherbet. Serves 18.
