    Slow-Cooker Beef Sandwiches

    3 1/2 to 4 pounds boneless chuck roast, trimmed of fat
    1 1/2 cups ketchup
    1 (2 ounce) package dry onion soup mix (2 envelopes)
    3 tbsp. (light) brown sugar
    1 tbsp. chili powder
    3 tbsp. cider vinegar
    1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
    1 tbsp. prepared mustard
    1/4 tsp. garlic powder
    16 sandwich buns

    Recipe



    Place chuck roast in slow cooker. In a medium bowl, combine all ingredients, except buns; pour over meat. Cover; cook on low heat for eight to 10 hours, or on high heat for four to five hours or until fork tender. Skim off fat. Remove meat from sauce; shred meat. Return to sauce in slow cooker. To serve, spoon 1/4 cup hot meat mixture into buns. Makes 16 sandwiches.
