Buttery Butterscotch Cake

List of Ingredients
250g butter, chopped
200g firmly packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tbsp syrup
225g self raising flour
125ml milk
Recipe
Grease deep 20cm round tim and cover base with greaseproof paper.
Combine all ingriedents in a bowl and mix until smooth.
Spread into tin and bake for 50 mins in a moderate oven (175c).
Stand for 10 mins before turning onto wire rack to cool.
Dust with icing sugar if desired.
