225g (8oz) rolled oats
115g (4oz) grated cheddar cheese
85g (3oz) butter
115ml (¼ pint) natural yoghurt
1 large egg
black pepper
Recipe
Preheat the oven to 350f, 180c, gas mark 4.
Lightly oil an 18cm (7inch) square cake tin.
Melt butter in a large pan.
Remove from the heat and stir in grated cheddar cheese, egg, natural yoghurt, black pepper and rolled oats until well blended.
Spoon mixture into the prepared tin and level the surface.
Bake for 30 minutes until golden.
Remove from the heat and allow to cool in the tin.
Cut into 9 squares.
Makes 9 pieces.
