Norfolk Treacle Custard Tart

List of Ingredients
8" (20cm) shortcrust pastry case
4tsbn syrup
1tspn finely grated lemon rind
1/2oz butter
2tsbn single cream
1 egg, beatenRecipe
Warm syrup with lemon rind. Cut butter into small pieces and stir into syrup.
Beat cream and egg together and blend with syrup. Pour into flan case.
Bake in centre of oven for 40 mins or until pastry is crisp and filling is set.
Allow to set and cool before removing and slide onto plate.
Cook time: 40 mins, 180c, 350f, gas 4.
