    List of Ingredients




    Pouring White Sauce
    35g butter
    35g plain flour
    500ml milk
    seasonings and flavourings as desired

    Coating White Sauce
    50g butter
    50g plain flour
    500ml milk

    Recipe



    Melt butter in a saucepan over a moderate heat.
    Add flour and beat until smooth. Remove from heat.
    Add milk, a little at a time, and beat well.
    Bring to the boil and cook gently for 2-3 mins stirring all the time.


    Flavourings
    500ml white sauce flavoured with:

    Sweet:
    Vanilla
    15ml spoon sugar and a few drops of vanilla
    Mocha
    15ml spoon grated chocolate, 2 1/2ml coffee essence and bring to the boil for 2 mins

    Savoury:
    Cheese
    100-150g cheddar
    Parsley
    1tbsn after cooking
    Onion
    200g cooked onion
    Mushroom
    50g finely chopped
